Fishing!
More than 8 acres of glistening blue water in Patterson Ponds. Only 1.1 miles from your RV is a fisherman’s paradise. Get an Arizona fishing or hunting/fishing license to enjoy reeling in catfish, bass, trout, sunfish, and amur.
Located in the beautiful White Mountains, Big Lake is a 450-acre lake, 10 miles south of Greer, AZ. This is the largest, and most productive, fishing lake in the area.
Boating
Did you bring your boat? Visitors will find plenty of room to water ski, wakeboard, or cruise around great big Lyman Lake in Lyman Lake State Park, and you can do so without motor size restrictions! Sailboats, canoes, and kayaks are okay too. Two boat ramps make launching easy. Look for the buffalo herd.

Golf!
Snowflake Golf Course is a public 18-hole (par 72) municipal golf course. Open year-round, Snowflake offers night-golf, another 9-hole course, pro shop, and café with all your favorite ‘adult’ beverages.

Meteor Crater
Perfect for adventurers and space enthusiasts. More than just a really big hole, the meteor that slammed into Earth 50,000 years ago with an explosive force greater than 20 million tons of TNT, left an eye-popping crater that is 550 feet deep and almost a mile wide. See the crater, take a tour, and visit the Barringer Space Museum.
Hike an Ancient Wonderland
Less than an hours’ drive north of St. Johns is the internationally famous Petrified Forest National Park, the largest park where visitors can walk among giant fallen petrified wood. The Painted Desert, adjacent to the Petrified Forest, comes alive with a brilliant palette of desert colors during sunrise or sunset. Don’t miss it.
Archaeology
Casa Malpais Archaeological Park, located near Springerville, is the premiere dig site in the White Mountains of Arizona. This unique site offers an astronomical calendar, a great kiva, ancient stairways, and rock art from the Mogollon culture. The Museum features artifacts from Casa Malpais and a video introduction by Hopi and Zuni elders.
